At this point we opted for non-adjoining rooms and asked that we at least be put on the same floor. We took in the Princess Diana exhibit ( where we waited in a 2 hour line), got some lunch, and returned at 7pm to check in to our 3 reserved rooms. Official check-in time was not until 5pm, so we were not surprised nor inconvenienced by this.
One member of our party arrived at 2:30pm, stood in line to check-in and were told the room wasn't ready, but the front desk would call as soon as it was. We booked our rooms a month in advance, and 2 days prior to our arrival made a request for 3 adjoining rooms.
A group of 6 of us traveled on a Sunday night for a one night stay.
